It's been awhile....

...since I posted on here. Things have been really crazy lately. We found out that we are relocating to Jacksonville Florida, so we have been doing things like getting the house ready to put up for sale, going to Florida to find a new place to live, calling Realtors, moving companies, etc. Lots of pieces that go into moving an entire household of stuff, it's a little stressful. But it will be a good adventure for my hubby and me, and Florida is nice and warm (even though the weather here has been great for this early in the year.) We are trying to figure out a few more details for we can finalize a few things and I hope to have all of that information by end of week.

Ingredients:
2 cups grapefruit juice
1 1/2 cups tangerine (juice)
1 cup apricot nectar
1 cup seltzer water (club soda)
ice (crushed)
1 slice grapefruit (pink, halved)

1. Mix together grapefruit and tangerines juices, apricot nectar and seltzer water.
2. Pour over crushed ice.
3. Garnish with slices of pink grapefruit.

Spring Cleaning

I don't know what it is about the beginning of the new year but its the same for many. We want to get into shape, we want to eat healthier and we want to clean the house. While I have been running (not as much as I would like) I have been really trying to clean my house. When I say clean this is not the ordinary cleaning that you may be thinking of, I am talking selling big items that have been in my basement for eons. It's been awesome! I am using Craigslist.org and I love it. I haven't used it before so it was new to me, but in the couple of weeks that I have been doing it I have unloaded quite a few things. Did I saw it was awesome?? Now I am asking myself "Why didn't I do this a long time ago??" - who knows.

Its time for closure

I know my blog is supposed to be about running, eating healthy, ect. and sometimes I go off that path, but I feel that this is a good outlet to get things off my chest.

This is a new year and I really want it to be great! One thing that creeps up from time to time(probably every 3 to 6 months or so) in my head is past friends and the lack of closure that I have when it seems liek we just break apart. Now this has only happened once or twice, but the fact that I still feel this after years leaves me with that loss. I have always felt that I have gone above and beyond with this friend, but sometimes I guess that is not enough. Well this year I want it to be fabulous, and this is one thing that I would like to leave behind with the things that I cannot control.

If you think about it, there is nothing I can do about it, I cannot control what happened. I was left in the lurch with a specific one, even sending Christmas gifts with her boyfriend, not knowing that one of my "Best Friends" was no longer going to talk to me. I do wonder if she feels bad leaving me in the dark like this, but then I think probably not.

Well like I said, I want this to be a fabulous year. There will be ups and downs I know as life is never boring. I would like to think of this post as the beginning of my closure on this specific negative thing in my life. Only time will tell if closure will take place.
